Stoke the Fires of an Author's Heart

There are likely few ways to make an author feel appreciated than reading reviews of how readers enjoyed their work. It doesn't take long to leave a review. Even if it's just a sentence or two, the lasting effect on the author can be magical.
Think about it.
In school, when a teacher told you good job or praised you in some other way, it made you feel good, didn't it? The same thing might happen when a coach gives you a compliment. It doesn't matter if it's during practice or during a game. Hearing those words makes a difference.

It's the same thing for the lowly author clicking and clacking away at the keys, creating incredible things amid the endless sea of blank pages stretching out before them. The only difference is that the author typically has no teacher and no coach from whom to receive pats on the back. Writing is very much a lonely profession in that while worlds are being created and characters are breathing and living in that world, there is very little interaction with the outside world.
This is where you, the reader, come in. After you've read the book, be that teacher, that coach, that fan, who took a few moments to offer words of encouragement. Stoke the fires of an author's heart. You'll help keep the fire burning in the author's heart. It will leave a lasting impression. More importantly, it will let the author know someone connected with the work they slaved over for months or even years.
Help stoke the fires in the creative heart. Take a few moments to leave a review and make an author smile.
